| I am first & foremost an artist; photography is my medium of choice. Although I occasionally draw & paint, I often prefer capturing the moment through photos.
Photography gives me the ability to draw attention to something I find beautiful, and to share that with everyone else. Whether I’m focused in on an animal or a human face the objective is the same; to draw attention to God’s creation and showcase the beauty I see every day.
Have you ever seen something and the image of that stayed with you? Have you ever looked at something closer and it is not as beautiful as you remembered it? Sometimes our minds can change what we see; it can create an illusion based on what we think something should look like. Sometimes things are more intriguing when closely inspected; sometimes they are less appealing then our mind had perceived.
I strive to capture beauty by drawing close attention to it; I also try to create illusions by bringing the fantasy to life. What I am trying to convey are beyond the words in my vocabulary, but hopefully I will be able to convey these thoughts over my lifetime through the images I create. |
